Om Obama, 2011 Tamil Comedy Entertainer, directed by Janaki Visvanathan, who earlier directed the award winning film Kutti.
Story revolves around village politics and opposite parties promising the moon for the villagers. One candidate even goes to the extent of suggesting that President Obama will visit the village and campaign for the elections!
Well what happens in the story deals with an entire village that is eagerly waiting for Obama to come to their village to solve their problems? The village is getting ready to greet Obama. This scene unfolds before an American journalist who has come to the village to capture the village’s obsession of President Obama. Other ingredients like romance grass root politics which are interwoven subtly in to the story to form sub-plots.
