Plot
Va Quarter Cutting, 2010 Tamil Comedy Movie written and directed by Pushkar-Gayathri. Starring Shiva, SPB Charan and Lekha Washington in the lead roles, with Kalyan, John Vijay, Abhinayashree essaying supporting roles.
The film is produced by Sashikanth Sivaji of Y NOT Studios and is to be distributed by Dhayanidhi Alagiri’s Cloud Nine Movies. The soundtrack and film score is composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar and cinematography is handled by Nirav Shah. The shooting of the film commenced in early 2010 and was held at various locations in Chennai. Release on Nov 05, 2010.
Plot
Story takes place in one night for a Quarter, the story which happens with many situations. Sura (Shiva), who is coming by bus to Chennai to take his flight to Saudi Arabia. In Chennai CMBT, he meets Markandeyan (SPB Charan) (Boy Friend of Shiva’s Sister). They both go to Markandeyan House, where he runs a animal clinic-cum-house. While entering the house, Sarawathi (Lekha Washington) scolded by her mother, coz she dont study well and failed in exams.
When Sura and Markandeyan meets the travel agent Nair, to get passport and ticket, he clearly said, he cant able to smoke, have girl and drink single drop of alcohol. Sura became sad that he cant able to drink anymore for next 6 months. When he asked about night plan to Markandeyan. He said lets go to beach, eat idly in triplicane, and go to nungambakkam and have a nice sleep. Sura got frus and he said he cant able to control the feelings. Atlast Markandeyan agreed for Sura’s plan to have a Quarter.
When both went to the bar, Unfortunately BAR is CLOSED, due to coming elections. Sura is disappointed, he wants to drink anyhow. On the way they come across Drunken Auto Driver (Arya). Then series of events happened, going to royapuram for quarter to get from chinna anna, periya thambi, a politician gives a Quarter and Biriyani free to everyone. When all the things failed, last option is going to Prince. Sura and Prince plays cards, if Sura wins 5 games in series, he can have Quarter to drink. But unfortunately, he lost the 5th game and lost his gold chain, bracelet and watch. Prince’s father King found out the gold ornaments is duplicate. After the Interval, entry of Saraswathi added.
And the chasing starts, What happens is the rest of the story. Did Sura got Quarter before he catches the flight ? or He misses the flight for Quarter ?
